It all started 38 years ago in Grandma's kitchen. As a young teenager, I'd watch my aunts baking away in the kitchen. I was privy to all the secret family ingredients and recipes that have been handed down over many generations. I was fascinated! I have been baking since the age of 13. By the age of 17, I was baking a cake for my sister's wedding and I have been baking ever since.
I have subsequently completed numerous training courses and I have come up with a distinct combination of modern techniques and traditional methods that gives every cake a “unique edge.”
My reputation has been built on outstanding creativity and quality of work.
• From simple sponge cakes to the good old Jamaican fruit cakes.
• I have numerous qualifications – too many to list – on Basic Food Standards, as well as Advanced Hygiene, Cake Decorating and Bespoke Sugar Craft Design.
• I am willing to tutor one-to-one cake decorating, sugar craft and catering.
• I have also been a chef for 31 years - won the Salon Culinaire gold medal and first prize for producing a meal for four people.
